ALBUM IS GETTING CLOSER!!

So we're basically up to track 8 and 9 (of 10) for the album, and we spent some time tending to these on the weekend just gone.

One of them is a folky little number that I had recorded in the past called "October 22", but I wasn't completely happy with that version, and always wanted to redo it when the time was right. On this one, I added bass, two acoustics, lead bits, some flute-ish keyboard bits and lead vocals. Skube and Stew made some comments along the lines of the bass part reminding them of a "walking McCartney type thing" which is of course a massive rap that I'll gladly take

All that needs doing on this track is backup vocal harmonies.

The other one is a hard rocker called "First Blood" on which we did some keys and trumpet bits and retouched a solo, readying it for vocalising, and after that it's a done deal.

So we're fast approaching a release for this thing folks - I shit you not!!
